Wooly: Landfills Explained

Pitkin County Solid Waste Center

Wooly: Landfills Explained uses innovations in mobile application technology to teach children using STEM standards about the impacts their own personal waste habits have on the environment. Using embedded video links, teacher's guidelines and scientific experiments along with fun cartoon characters in a vivid and colorful comic book format to deliver the lesson, Wooly: Landfills Explained, offers anyone, anywhere an opportunity to better understand how their day to day decisions about waste impact their air, water, soil and quality of life.

CAEE works to ensure everyone in Colorado has an opportunity to learn about the environment where they live. We value inclusiveness and welcome everyone to the field of environmental education.
