Environmental Literacy: Pathways, Progressions and Dosage
A new research brief from Standford University and the Pisces Foundation explores the complexities of how environmental education experiences can enhance and support the lifelong journey towards environmental literacy. The brief was written based on an extensive literature review related to three EE programming considerations relevant to practice:
- Potential avenues for considering pathways in environmental literacy, informed primarily by science education;
- Learning, developmental, and environmental literacy progressions; and
- Dosage, as applied in and relevant to the notion of environmental education, informed by perspectives from other sectors and fields.
